Writers ready for Baywatch
DreamWorks has hired Guess Who scripters Jay Scherick and David Ronn to write the screenplay of the big screen version of Baywatch. Like the long-lasting television show, the movie will center on a curvy group of lifeguards who are in charge of keeping an eye on a California beach.

DreamWorks loves Baywatch
DreamWorks has acquired the rights to turn the lifeguard television series Baywatch into a feature film. The show ran 12 seasons in syndication, and featured various hotties du jour (and David Hasselhoff) in red swimsuits. Other stars included Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth and Carmen Electra. The studio is looking to fast track the film for a Summer 2006 release.
