Paramount takes on Thief
Paramount Pictures is in talks with screenwriters Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais to handle the script for the adaptation of the book Confessions of a Master Jewel Thief. The film will be based on the memoirs of Bill Mason, a jewel thief who stole over $35 million worth of merchandise in a three-decade period. Some of his victims included Bob Hope, Phyllis Diller, Robert Goulet, Truman Capote, Armand Hammer and Johnny Weismuller. In the meantime, his normal life was absurdly conventional.
