Fox Headed for Suck City
Fox 2000 has picked up Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, to be written and directed by Paul Weitz (American Dreamz; About a Boy). The project was originally under the auspices of Columbia Pictures, and is an adaptation of the award-winning memoir by Nick Flynn. As a teen Flynn began receiving letters from his estranged father, a crazy-old conman and poet. The father's self-destructive behavior eventually takes him into the homeless shelter, where the son works.

Weitz goes to the City
Paul Weitz is in talks to direct Another Bullshit Night in Suck City for Sony and producer Michael Costigan. The movie will be based on Nick Flynn's bestselling memoir, which centers on the relationship between a father and a son. The dark comedy begins when a 20-something Flynn is working as a caseworker in a Boston homeless shelter. Weitz has already begun working on the screenplay adaptation.

Columbia acquires Flynn novel
Columbia Pictures has picked up the rights to the Nick Flynn novel Another Bullshit Night in Suck City as a project for producer Michael Costigan to develop. The film is a dark comic memoir about the relationship between a father and his son. The events in the book take place while the 27-year-old Flynn is working as a caseworker in Boston at a homeless shelter.
