Notebook scribe to handle Real Steel
DreamWorks has hired Jeremy Leven, who wrote the screenplay for The Notebook, to handle scripting duties for Real Steel. Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) is in talks to direct the robot boxing project. The story is set in the future, where 2000-pound robots take on other metallic monsters in the boxing ring. The story centers around a promoter who takes his fighter all the way to the
championships.
