Single Cell is in Slo-Mo
Single Cell Pictures, which is made up of partners Michael Stipe and Sandy Stern, have optioned the spec Slo-Mo, a project that will be written and directed by John Krokidas. The movie will be based on a short film that he created that is currently airing on HBO. It centers around a writer whose New Yorker articles have made him a sort of superstar amongst the other literati. He has a book set to come out, and they can't wait for it to hit shelves as it will establish him as a serious author. Under pressure, he's become blocked to the point that he has descended into a parallel reality that operates on a much slower clock than the real world.
