Weinsteins hire a Factory Girl
The Weinstein Co. has acquired North American rights (as well as the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and South Africa) to Factory Girl. The movie is a biopic of Edie Sedgwick and stars Sienna Miller, Hayden Christensen, Guy Pearce, Mena Suvari and Jimmy Fallon. George Hickenlooper directs from a screenplay by Captain Mauzner . The story is set in 1965, the year Sedgwick met Andy Warhol and became his muse. She died at the age of 28 of a drug overdose, in 1971.

Hickenlooper likes Factory Girl
Director George Hickenlooper is set to helm the Edie Sedgewick biopic Factory Girl. Sienna Miller (Alfie) is in talks to take the lead role. The screenplay for the film is written by Captain Mauzner (Wonderland), and centers around the time frame when Sedgewick met Andy Warhol and became his muse. The pair was known for sporting matching hairdos and the same long-sleeved, striped shirts. Eventually, Sedgewick died of a drug overdose at the age of 28.
