Woo adds to crowded slate
John Woo is attached to direct Paramount's The Red Slate, a remake of the 1970 French film Le Cercle Rouge. The screenplay will be written by Jeff Pinkner and centers around a thief who is released from prison on the same day a murderer escapes police custody. The two join forces to commit a heist even as a persistent cop is on their tail.
