Graf will be Turning the Tide
Allan Graf, who was second unit director on Friday Night Lights, will direct Turning the Tide for Gerald Molen's Whitelight Entertainment. Based on a story by John Papadakis, the film centers on the September 12, 1970 college football showdown between legendary coach Paul "Bear Bryant's all-white Alabama Crimson Tide and the integrated USC Trojans. The game was recently ranked by Sports Illustrated as number six on a list of the "20 Most Important Moments in Sports". Graf, who was a USC player at the time the game took place, co-wrote the screenplay with John Ledesma.
