Baldwin goes Hunting and Fishing

Alec Baldwin has been cast as the male lead in A Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing. Writer-director Marc Klein adapted the film from the best-selling Melissa Bank book by the same name. The movie centers on a New York book editor, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who toys with the notion of leaving her annoying college boyfriend for a notorious playboy who also happens to be substantially older (Baldwin).

Gellar goes Hunting

Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed to star in the Warner Independent Pictures adaptation of the Melissa Banks book A Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing. Mark Klein is directing from his own screenplay. The story centers on a young New York magazine editor who has always found herself defined by the men she is with. When she meets an older, successful, powerful, sophisticated man, she believes she's solved all her problems. In fact, they've only just started.

WIP goes Fishing

Warner Independent Pictures will work along with Odd Lot Entertainment to finance and produce the movie adaptation of Melissa Bank's best-selling short story collection A Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing. Marc Klein will direct from his own screenplay. The book was published in 1999 and basically was a bittersweet treatise on love from the urban female point of view.
