Paramount is a Deal Breaker
Paramount has pre-emptively purchased the Samantha Goodman/Andrew Stern comedy script Deal Breaker for Peter Segal to direct. The movie will tell the story of a PR executive who has failed to live up to his promises. He's given a chance to make good on them, with one caveat: if he doesn't come through, he's going to have to relive each broken promise. The studio sees the concept as similar in tone and theme to Groundhog Day.
Segal is currently directing Adam Sandler's The Longest Yard.
