Freaks and Geeks creator set for Star Girl
Paul Feig, the creator of Freaks and Geeks and director of the upcoming Lions Gate film I Am David, has signed with Paramount and Nickelodeon Films to write and direct Star Girl, an adaptation of the bestselling young adult novel by Jerry Spinelli. The movie centers around 16-year-old Leo Borlock and the emotions he experiences as he finds his first love. She's a beautiful girl, but extremely eccentric. Peer pressure forces him to seriously consider whether to stay with the girl he really loves or to give in to the crowd.
