Daniels gets a Lookout
Jeff Daniels has joined the cast of The Lookout, where he'll star opposite Jason Gordon-Levitt. Directed and written by Scott Frank, the film centers on a mentally-impaired former athlete who finds himself sucked into a bank heist at the bank where he works. Daniels will play a blind ex-biker who becomes unwillingly involved as well.

Disney is on The Lookout
Walt Disney is set to finance and distribute the dramatic thriller The Lookout. Scott Frank will direct from his own screenplay, and Jason Gordon-Levitt, who starred on 3rd Rock From the Sun and has attracted a lot of positive buzz for his performance in the indie films Manic and Mysterious Skin, will star in the film. The movie centers around a former athlete who is mentally impaired. While working as a janitor at a bank, he gets convinced to be involved in a heist.

Scott Frank is a Lookout
Scott Frank, who wrote the screenplay for Minority Report, will make his directorial debut with DreamWorks' The Lookout, which he also wrote. The movie is about a former hockey star who has been handicapped as the result of a car accident. He manages to outwit a group of criminals who attempt to rob the small-town bank where he works as a janitor.
