Rygiel to direct Bunyan and Babe
Jim Rygiel, who won three Academy Awards for visual effects for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy, has been chosen to direct the independent feature Bunyan and Babe. It will be Rygiel's directorial debut.
The movie is based on the legendary Paul Bunyan and centers on his attempts - along with a couple of kids whose aid he enlists - to save Babe the Blue Ox from a twisted circus owner. Eddie Griffin will provide the voice of the CGI-animated Babe. The film was written by Michael A. Nickles and Julia A. Wall. Animation will be completed by ElectroAge.
