Universal takes on Clark & Lewis
Universal has signed brothers Gavin and Greg O'Connor to write the screenplay for Clark & Lewis, a revisionist history of the two explorers who headed west at the instruction of Thomas Jefferson to find the Northwest Passage. Gavin O'Connor, who previously directed Miracle, will also helm the film, while Greg will produce. The brothers believe that there is a pretty significant story to be told based on what the explorers left behind in their travel journals. These diaries describe an uneasy relationship between Lewis and Clark, not to mention the fact that both men were attracted to Sacajawea.
