The Rock and Ryan Reynolds will go for a Ride Along
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Ryan Reynolds are set to star in Ride Along for New Line Cinema. Roger Kumble will direct, and is currently working on a rewrite of the Greg Coolidge script to make it incorporate some of the qualities of The Rock and Reynolds. The movie will center on The Rock's character, who is trying to stop a budding romance between his sister and a fellow schoolteacher.

Koch Rides Along
Chris Koch has been hired to direct the action comedy Ride Along for New Line Cinema. The film centers on a risk-averse teacher who is hoping to marry the girl of his dreams, but before he can do so, he has to go for a dangerous ride-along with his overprotective future brother-in-law, a tough as nails cop. Koch previously directed the sleeper hit Snow Day, which earned $60 million at the box office in North America.
