Greenwald developing feature film
Robert Greenwald (Outfoxed!) is developing a feature film called Bud and Bill, which will examine the friendship between the father of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and the father of one of the victims of the April 1995 attack. Donald Martin has been hired to write the screenplay, and he has met with the two men - Bill McVeigh and Bud Welch, father of Julie Welch - to learn more about their relationship. The two met during Timothy McVeigh's trial. Timothy McVeigh received a death sentence when a jury found him guilty of 11 counts related to the bombing. That act of civil terrorism took the lives of 168 individuals, including Welch's daughter.
