Prince-Bythewood Knows This Much Is True
Gina Prince-Bythewood, director/writer of Love and Basketball, has signed on to rewrite I Know This Much Is True, based on the novel by Wally Lamb. Fox 2000 has been trying to get the project off the ground since 1998, during which time it has attracted attention from such directors and actors as Jim Sheridan, Matt Damon and Jonathan Demme. The book takes place across several generations and centers on identical twins. One of the twins is a paranoid schizophrenic, and the other is a normal house painter who is attempting to have his brother released from the asylum.
