Revolution is a Class Act
Revolution Studios has picked up Neal Shusterman and Eric Elfman's pitch Class Act, which is based on the true story of Tierney Cahill. Cahill was a sixth-grade teacher from Reno who agreed to an interesting challenge from her students. As she was working to educate them on civics and the political process, they dared her to run for a seat in the Nevada Congress. Her students ran her campaign. Though she eventually lost to her opponent, Republican Jim Gibbons, Cahill did wind up winning 35% of the popular vote and went on to influence the state's public policy. She is currently campaigning for the Navada State Assembly. The film is planned as an inspirational comedy.
