Gerber likes Pollack’s Rock and Roll
WB-based Bill Gerber has acquired theatrical film rights to the satirical Neal Pollack tale Never Mind the Pollacks: A Rock and Roll Novel. The story follows renegade journalist Neal Pollack on his self-destructive journey. The writer just happens to be at the right place at the right time at several key moments over the history of rock ‘n’ roll, including having his father killed by Elvis Presley when the singer accidentally backs a truck over him. Other exploits include stealing Joan Baez from Bob Dylan, moving to Liverpool to be a critic, and somehow being on the scene at every seminal movement in rock.
