Winter pens Warriors
Terence Winter, who has been nominated for four Emmys for scripts for The Sopranos, has been hired to write the screenplay for director Tony Scott’s remake of The Warriors. Paramount and MTV Films are handling the financing.
The original 1979 film was set in New York City, and followed the Warriors gang as they were wrongly accused of murdering a rival gang leader during a truce. As a result, they must trudge their way home through hostile territory. The update is planned to have an even headier reality in comparison to the original film.
