Sommers gets rights to French classic
Stephen Sommers and his production partner Bob Ducsay have acquired the feature film rights to the French language classic Les Victimes, which was written by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac. The book was written in the 1950s and centers around a book editor who follows his married lover and her husband when they go out of the country on business. What follows is a series of events that lead to deadly intrigue. Elisa Bell, who wrote the screenplays for Sleepover and Little Black Book, has been hired to adapt the script and give it a modern touch. The book was previously adapted to a feature film version in France by director Patrick Grandperret.
