Shusett options Megacity
Ronald Shusett, co-creator of the Alien series, has joined forces with comic book guy Daniel Alter to option feature rights to Megacity. The property is being regarded as a potential franchise and was discovered by Alter at the recent Comic-Con convention. The comic book is set in the near future and follows an elite team of soldiers known as Phobia. Their task is to stop "pulses" - psychic parasites - from possessing innocent people and transforming them into monsters. Alter describes the film as Aliens meets Minority Report.
