Paramount shoots a Triggerfish
Paramount has selected Joe and Anthony Russo to direct the Robert Evans-produced Triggerfish. A screenplay is currently being written by Laurence Malkin and Chad Thumann, based on a story by Ron Malfi. The movie is set in the precarious environment of intelligence following 9/11. In a time when interagency cooperation is suspect, a high-ranking Secret Service agent goes against the FBI by harassing one of its informants in an interdepartmental investigation. The choice is so poor that the agent might be risking his very life. The atmosphere that the Russos are hoping to achieve is something similar to The French Connection, Three Days of the Condor and The Parallax View.
