Sommers and Universal find Big love
Universal Pictures will once again team with director Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing) and his partner Bob Ducsay. Their latest collaboration will be a project that adapts Sarah Dunn's novel The Big Love into a theatrical feature. The book centers around a woman whose boyfriend leaves her for his ex-girlfriend. Her search for her big love leads her on a series of sexual escapades.
At this point, Sommers is considering directing the film but at this point, he and Ducsay are committed only as producers. Dun also wrote The Official Slacker Handbook and was a writer for the sitcoms Murphy brown and Spin City.
