New indie production company gets Murder
Stuart Boyd, a new production company, has picked up the option to Jason Kersten's true-crime book Journal of the Dead: A Story of Friendship and Murder in the New Mexico Desert, which details the story of hikers Raffi Kodikian and David Coughlin. According to details in Kodikian's journal, the pair decided to compact for mutual suicide in order to spare themselves potential excruciating pain that would simply lead to inevitable death. After stabbing his friend and surviving the ordeal himself, Kodikian was charged with murder. The book was published in July of 2003.
