Thomas joining Paramount for Fleiss story
Betty Thomas, director of I Spy, Doctor Dolittle and Private Parts, is in talks with Paramount Pictures to direct Pay the Girl, which will center around Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss. Fleiss became famous in 1993 when she was caught running an expensive ring of high-priced call girls. She eventually was convicted of charges of tax evasion, money laundering and attempted pandering, receiving parole in 1999. The screenplay for the film was written by Lisa Schrager.
