Fox gets writer for Crumrin
20th Century Fox has hired writer Graham Tallman to write the movie adaptation of the Ted Naifeh comic book Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things. The story centers on a young girl who moves into her weird uncle's house, only to find herself living in a world of warlocks, witches and goblins. Even stranger, her classmates seem to be missing.

Fox franchises Crumrin
Fox 2000 Pictures has optioned the rights to the Ted Naifeh comic book series Courtney Crumrin with plans to develop the property into a theatrical series. The books follow a teenage girl who must deal with being a social outcast at her snobby school even as she lives with her warlock uncle and learns how to harness magic on her own. Books included in the deal are "Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things," "Courtney Crumrin and the Coven of Mystics" and "Courtney Crumrin in the Twilight Kingdom," all published by Oni Press.
