Everything Changes for Hedges

The Tobey Maguire- and Wendy Finerman-produced Everything Changes has found its director: Peter Hedges. Hedges made his directorial debut in 2003 with Pieces of April. The film, an adaptation of Jonathan Tropper's 2006 novel, focuses on a man who must make a choice between the girl he is about to marry and another, who is the wife of his deceased best friend.

Hedges knows Everything Changes

Peter Hedges, who co-wrote the screenplay for About a Boy, is in talks to adapt the Jonathan Tropper novel Everything Changes for Columbia pictures. The book centers on a 20-something young man who is just about to marry his perfect woman when he goes through a crisis of conscience brought on by feelings for his best friend's widow and the arrival of his estranged, Viagra-popping father.

Maguire to produce Everything Changes for Columbia

Spidey star Tobey Maguire will take on producer duties as he works with Columbia Pictures to bring an adaptation of Jonathan Tropper's novel Everything Changes to the big screen. The novel tells the story of a 30-something young man named Zach, who is all set to marry his perfect woman. Suddenly, he goes through a crisis of conscience when he realizes he has feelings for his recently deceased best friend's wife and has to contend with the arrival of his estranged father - a flamboyant womanizer.
