Warner Bros. goes back to Police Academy
Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow are joining forces to finance an eighth sequel in the Police Academy series. The direction this latest installment will take has yet to be determined, but the project is currently out to writers so some ideas should begin to form pretty shortly.
The last film in the series, Police Academy: Mission to Moscow, was released ten years ago. Jerry Weintraub of Warner Bros. is onboard to produce, while series creator Paul Maslansky will executive produce with Village Roadshow's Bruce Berman.
