DreamWorks snaps up a bounty
Playwright Tom Patrick has sold a spec script to DreamWorks producer Bonnie Curtis. His concept is a clever take on recent economic scandals such as Enron. A mid-management suit is laid off due to forced cutbacks stemming from incompetent upper level management accounting practices. In pursuit of a new career, the unenployed telecom exec becomes a bounty hunter. In the process, he accidentally stumbles across the American dream. One of the bounty hunter's pursuits is none other than the white collar criminal whose shady business practices got the guy fired from his old job.
