Madonna's Maverick is Star Craving Mad
Madonna's production company, Maverick Films, has added another title to its growing roster. In addition to the Jay Roach film, Charlie Bartlett, and the children's book, Perry Jackson and the Lightning Thief, they have added another adaptation to their upcoming slate. The Elise Abrams Miller novel, Star Craving Mad, has been acquired. The book and movie tell the story of an elementary school teacher who gets a new charge. As sweet as the child is, the real impact on the educator is the realization that Daddy is a Hollywood star...and easy on the eyes.
Maverick producer Jay Polstein describes the adaptation as having the potential to be Shampoo for a new generation.
