Movie News for
The Banshee

Release Date: TBA 2006

July 1, 2004
Lilo & Stitch co-director DeBlois goes back to Disney with a Banshee.

7/1/04 Dean DeBlois, who co-directed Disney's last truly successful 2-D animated film Lilo & Stitch, is returning to work with the studio again. The Banshee, from his own screenplay, is a period ghost story set in Ireland. DeBlois said in The Hollywood Reporter that the film is "the story of a little boy who is ignored by the world and pretends to be a ghost, who comes into contact with a real ghost. At its core, it is a story of friendship, love and loss, but it is aimed squarely toward the Harry Potter audience, the older kids who engage in this kind of supernatural mystery."
